St. Patrick’s Day is always a fun time to get together with friends and welcome Spring to Missouri!  There are a number of fun Irish style pubs that you might want to visit across our fair state.

My husband and I went to college in Columbia, Missouri, he to the University of Missouri and I to Columbia College (Go, Cougars!) and we loved to hang out at McNally’s Irish Pub.  I remember having really good pizza and hamburgers and great drink specials.  There’s a countdown to St. Patrick’s Day on the first page of their website!

Later we moved to Jefferson City, where we both were employees at the local school district.  Welcome to Paddy Malone’s, Jeff City’s Irish Pub!   Our friends loved to socialize after work grabbing an order of their Portobello fries and Chips and Cheese.  They also have fabulous hamburgers, too.  As for drinks, they have an impressive selection of Irish whiskey and make a class act Irish Car Bomb.

Three years ago, we moved to the St. Louis area we were were thrilled to discover a mother lode of Irish pubs! We have not yet been able to visit all of the pubs, but the one’s we have definitely were up to par! Either Bob or I have been to the following St. Louis establishments: J.D. McGurk’s Irish Pub and Gardens, where we had the best Irish stew, Seamus McDaniels, for fabulous burgers (go to their website and listen to Irish tunes!) and Maggie O’Brien’s, where my favorite is the Tipperary sandwich.  We have also been by Shamrocks Pub and Grill, a surprisingly wonderful joint with Guinness Mac and Cheese  and McGurk’s Public House, (fabulous bangers and mash) both in the St. Peters area.

Where are your favorite Irish places across the state?  Leave a comment below!

That burger looks good. I always love trying out new eateries.
